Intern with the VMG Team 

Volunteer Management Group seeks talented college students wanting to develop skills in communications, marketing, social media and project management by working with the VMG team. Whatever your interest and talent, you will be part of a team making a real difference in the lives of VMG's students (and sometimes clients). You should be interested in the nonprofit, volunteer management and/or corporate philanthropy fields. All opportunities are a combination of working remotely as well as participating in the classroom or in VMG's online trainings.


 

 

Program Objective

The VMG Internship Program is an internship program for college students. Its objective is to introduce college students with majors in Communications/Media/Event Management/Project Management to career opportunities where they can gain practical experience and training in the related fields. This program also introduces participants to subject matter in the area of VMG's core competencies: nonprofit management, volunteer management, grant writing and corporate philanthropy.


 

Ideal Candidate

The VMG internship opportunities are excellent for someone who is an independent, self-starter that wants to learn to be a productive contributor to a team working remotely and in the classroom. Someone who can take direction and run with it. Opportunities are a combination of work-from-home and/or  classroom, or both. As an intern you will be in close contact and supervision by Julie Marks, VMG's president and founder.


 

What You Gain

All opportunities are unpaid. Participants gain the opporunity to participate in classroom or online course(s) and develop their skills in communications and marketing. The time commitment depends on how many courses you are paritipating in. 


 

Spring 2020 Opportunities

Internship areas in Social Media Marketing and Project Coordinator. VMG has accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Graphic design for social media, content generation, MeetUp group coordination are areas where you should be looking to contribute your skills.
